It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Yeah...until you come to a corner! Some cars can corner so fast, smooth and flat that it is genuinely astonishing. Straight line speed is only a small part of the equation...personally I only find it mildly entertaining. Handling and corner speed...that provides a lot of the thrills.

Speaking of vs in corners
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
I went for a spin in a TVR last weekend on the back road I use when I can't be arsed using the 'motorway' to get home. I know the road well and can get from one end to the other pretty rapidly. The car had me grinning like a twat. A bike just cannot compare with the grip that four wide wheels gives you. I wish I had timed it now.
BM'r boy knows how to ride. Nice.
BUT most road riders don't have that level of skill and I suggest that the driver of the GTR didn't have the level of skill in 4 wheels that the BMW rider has on 2. I mean, that BMW is a long way ahead of my CBR1000rr in terms of handling capabilities...but it's not THAT much better that it will hold off a quick cage. Give me a nice set of twisties in my Audi RS and I would hapily bet on myself vs most run-of-the-mill litre bike riders...including myself - to win. (Theoretically of course, one doesn't condone street racing).

Oh yeah...and straight lines...assume everyone has seen the one where the RS6 leads the ZX10r...
