    Whanganui Boxing Day?

Anyone else from the Waikato silly enough to leave about 2am Boxing day and ride their scooter to Wanganui and back again that evening?, maybe leaving the racing about 3pm and coming back through the lost highway?

    Nah, thought not.

May see you on the way - will stop for a smoke if we pass you. What time do you expect to arrive there??

IF you catch me When I rode to Wanga in Feb, it took us 6 hours, but that was with a long stopover in Taumarunui. I'm quite keen to meander back via the Lost Highway.

Boxing day run. Have changed my plans for going through to Wanganui, as my attempts to get Friday off work have failed. ( I had planned to do an overnight camp on Thursday night ).

I still intend to do the back roads through to Taumarunui, the forgotten highway to Whangamomona for lunch. I'll come back the same way then branch off up Mangaparo rd through to Ohura. From there, the back roads to Aria, Piopio, then side roads up the western side of SH3.

If anyone on a small bike wants a decent day ride on Boxing day, drop me a PM.

Not sure about ' they ' but if tomorrow is like today here, light occasional showers, and breezy, then I'm still doing my ride. Rain doesn't bother me, I just dont like starting out in solid steady rain. The scooter tyres are fantastic in the wet.

If the weather in the morning is really crap, I will hold off untill next weekend when I get 4 days off.

I was more wondering if they still race if it's raining...?
