Welcome Jordan. Don't take any notice of Akzle, he's just jealous of the 100+ kg riders. Shrek is our king.

CRT (now rebranded Farmers) or Wrightsons or any farm/rural supply business's are good places to get hard wearing wet weather gear.

crt is now farmlands and no most of the shit they sell is not waterproof, i used to sell that stuff, and have worn most of the range when i was farming, the best stuff is the stuff the yaughties wear but that stuff is farkin exspensive, i just bought a mid range set of pvc leggings from E Hayes for $40, definately waterproof and so far have survived being worn 5 times which is more than the couple of one peice suits i have had managed and they never kept me dry, and my old drizabone riding coat still keeps me dry, only prob with that is its so bulky

I use dri-rider lets some damp in not bad as it's not enough to get a wet arse with riding gear on under, $100 & mine have been going since 2006 & still work ok they also keep the wind out as well

The Intruder's my favourite of the learner bunch of bikes.

You need to sit on one to see how you fit.

I'd be looking at more of an upright bike myself (off-roader style) from the larger bike approved list.

    Good luck!

Just an update for everyone .. So I decided not to get the Hyosung GT250. Financial side of things I was not comfortable with.. decided I'd rather not get a brand new bike as a first bike. So now I'm back to sqaure one .. kinda.

I want to spend around $2000.. It needs to be a big bike and LAMS approved. Prefer cruiser look but doesn't have to be one. Any suggestions?

I'm gonna ring up a guy about a Honda CX400 Custom tonight, see how that goes. Looks cool IMO.

690 KTM good for you long legged bugga's & you can take the long way home if you want or have a set of motard wheels on hand if you want to.......
