    Gn250 engine problem

    Hi,
    I have a problem with my GN250....

It sounds like a tractor. How to fix?

P.s is red model if that helps.

    Thanks

Does it run/ride okay apart from that? Check to see if there's any holes in the exhaust?

I would guess the exhaust flange bolts are loose ... or missing ...

Be sure to check the nut behind the wheel, usually first thing to go on these

Not on GN's ... ... I have a set that hasn't been used. I will PM you my bank account number ... $75 should cover it (plus postage)

They don't make them now ... so they're pretty scarce ...

May cause it to vibrate = rattle. Not familiar with GN's. Exhaust stud tight? Muffler joint tight? I'd check that.

    Then maybe valve clearances?

just run your hand close to the exhaust to feel for any escaping gases around the head and then around the muffler flange joint while it's running before doing anything else
