    Question Mp3 250 help required

Can anybody recommend a top Auckland mechanic to set-up the front tilt-lock system on a Piaggio MP3 250?

    Thanks.

Try Motomail, 41 College Hill, Freemans Bay Auckland. (09) 379-9050. That's where I took the last one of those with a similar problem.

    Motomail maybe

They are MP3 retailers and there is a workshop under the showroom in Ponsonby. They would be worth a call at least.

I have always liked those: what was the issue with it? obviously with the tilt lock but was it failing to lock or failing to unlock. Both would, I suspect, be bad.

    Try your nearest lawnmower shop.

Failing to lock. Which is, on the face of it, no big deal. Except that it has no side stand, so level ground is whats needed to get the center stand down. It's a fun thing to ride, feels like normal 2 wheels with a bit heavier front end, until you hit some metal on a corner which would usually have your sphincter grabbing. You just fang through. Same with wet patches. My T-Max is still #1.

I see's that they is on special at the mo, brand spankers just $8'999, down from $12'999. It's the hybrid I fancy. Frugal though it is I worked out how long it would take to realise the fuel saving... I don't own one. Oh well. Don't live in a city neither so it's a bit pointless really but I do like funky transport.

The 'funky transport' is what has always attracted me. I rode a Spyder, several times. Tried to convince myself that I could get used to it. Realized I was deluded.
