And suddenly you realise that anyone who has had anything they know or care about covered by the mainstream media is thinking the same thing. It may not be one grand coordinated lie, but it certainly is a hell of a lot of little ones.

I don't expect anyone to be an expert on everything. However, it's not too much to ask for journalists to do some basic fact finding first, especially if it's really simple stuff that can easily and quickly be found with nothing more than a simple Google search.

Unfortunately we will never know.
What we will know is Captain Ironic is sending them a transition frequency now.

Freescale is screwed - has been for many years. It's the whipping boy of Intel, National and TI. Shame really as they had some great innovated stuff way back in 2009. That is why the Blackstone investment came - it was either that, or Freescale was broken into "startups" and sold as components to In-Q-Tel. Too much USD$ invested in their stuff.
