Very disappointed to read about the toys. I can understand some but gosh so many bags full doesnt sound right.
Safely
Exactly, it is not right.
Apparently they get so many that they just dump a lot of them, whereas I'm sure there are other options.
The Waikato times have been shown the evidence so will be interesting if there is a story about it.
Bikers should be/have been notified not to bring them if they were just going to be dumped.

Life would be so much easier if you addressed questions with a simple answer.
The first point I need to make is that the Waikato Branch of Ulysses hands all of the toys over to Child Cancer.
A child cancer volunteer was responsible for dumping the unusable toys. unusable toys are anything that is dirty or appears used or has "Moth balls"
In future my understanding is that Child cancer will be asked to return what they access to be "unusable "toys to Ulysses and Ulysses will dispose of the same hopefully, to Salvation Army thrift shops or Saint Vincent de Paul's or other such.
You can be certain that we will not want this to happen again.
4 Wheels move the body. 2 Wheels move the soul
On ya Jim and the Waikato Ulysses boys and girls, seems a shame, understand the caution, but for the sake of perhaps a good old fashioned spin in a tub many of them could be quite safe and provide many more years of service to the kids they were meant for.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

You've got to admit though, there's only so many children who want to receive a(nother) stuffed toy. Of course they look a lot better on the run than a little box of lego taped to the handlebars, but you could always get an op-shop toy for ride outift and a cool little present for the actual gift. We got two non-gender specific toys for the unofficial toy run down here.
Yeeees, they should be thankful for whatever, but it's also nice to give a thoughtful gift.
Having said that - it's not like I checked the dump to see if our donations turned up there.
WELLINGTON: Tag-o-rama
If I ever find out the little kitty-cat that I bought got dumped, I'll be massively pissed off... I was considering keeping it for myself (to sit next to my computer...)
