No I don't mean that, it's actually a reference to a post Swoop made earlier about the preferential hybrid vehicle parking in the Downtown carpark building in Auckland City not the Airport. Those carparks were set aside for hybrids under the then named Auckland City Council hence my reason for using the title.
Did anybody tried their fortune in parking near domestic terminal under cover for 2-3days? I have done it for 4-5 hours and it was ok. I wonder would it be a problem for a longer term?
You can park in the low emissions vehicle parks.

Op-I know you are hamilton based but will you be staying a night in auckland on your way out? if so then most of the airport hotels/motels have free valet parking/airport transfers for up to a week when you stay even one night

I'm flying to Welly next week.
Does anyone know if we still leave our bikes in the coverred car park for free, including overnight?
EDIT: Found this, but couldn't find anything on prices (free?). http://www.aucklandairport.co.nz/ToA...dBicycles.aspx

Obviously if you take a space you need to pay for parking.

Hi Guys,
I'm flying out of Auckland in the next day or so for my mum's funeral.
Can anyone please suggest the best option for parking a bike at the airport for a week. Need something cheap, secure and reasonably convenient, where I could also safely leave my helmet and wet gear. I'm aware there are some 'park and ride' services. But is there anything more ideal for bikes?
Cheers for your help
David
