if you move the engine weight man, you are going to be opening up a huge can of worms to get it all set up again including re working the shock/s

1 step at a time is quicker and cheaper than re building the wheel dude
It's worth a try I suppose. Got any twelve or thirteen weight springs to fit a 98 R1 shock lying around?

no sorry man, I gave all I had back to Robert. A fermer rear will allow you to slide control it better also as Skrivy has said, then it;s about finding the correct tyre PSI when hot to ballance all out.

And DO NOT listen toa web site , or peter or paul when it comes down to Tyre temp and PSI either dude, find out directly from the tyre manufacturer them selves, ther are designed by a scientist for a reason

Can the moderators close down this thread?

I am sick and tired of having to turn on my computer, load up my browser, log on to KB, find the thread and regularly read all of the latest postings about this drivel.

Did plenty of laps today, and the chair went mint.

    Here's hoping it's sorted.

    IT'S FIXED!!!!

Finally got the old girl running properly, thank God. Turns out it was the fuel pump. We had tested it early in the piece, and discounted it because it primed more than the minimum and ran at spot on the proper pressures. Turns out though, that whoever mounted it hadn't used petrol friendly rubber as a gasket. So it had gone brittle and fallen apart, leaving a black sand like substance in the tank, internal filter, and pump.

It has never gone as well as it does now, and I used to think it was fast considering it's pedigree. It's a bloody rocket ship now.

Huge thanks to everyone who has helped and offered advice. We were getting less and less enthusiastic every time we took out of the truck, with the season we'd had.
