    The graph is moot without a baseline. When Ray dynoed my superbike for Ed, it was pumpin' 187 ponies at the tread. Had I taken it straight to motomart, I bet anything you like it would have said over 200.

    Baselines are the most critical part in any experiment, or the results are meaningless.

    Calm down wee fella. They do a baseline with whatever they're tuning, yip. Without knowing the figures that were given in those runs, your '99' is completely arbitrary.

    Even with the start out number, a true baseline is still not achieved.

    Not at all. You take it on faith that a 650cc twin is capable of 100 horse power. I am of the opinion that a 60% increase in power from that motor, better include a big fucken strap around the cases so they don't fly to bits.

    and rays dyno read 11 hp more on a standard 600 than my dyno jet

    I thought the er was 75 ish out of the crate?
    I suspect though the limitations of our F3 rules means 85 is a more realistic figure.

    This isn't a pissing contest. All dynoes give different readings.

    The point is that since all dynoes give different readings, there IS NO BASELINE!

    i think you may be right, but not many motors have won a isle of man TT and the springfield mile in the same year, not bad for a commuter bike,

    Stock Std is around 65-70 at the wheel depending on your bar code reader/Dyno...... the limitations of F3 don't really matter allot WRT max power - its how well you build the donk. Std rods will handle 80hp, maybe a little more........once you get more manly power ( closer to what shauns talking about ) then you need to get some stronger rods and do some good bottom end work.......not to make the power but to keep it together. if we could go aftermarket airbox and carbs then 100+HP easy PEASEY

    Its quite easy to make the motor make power - they just weigh a ton......the stock crank without the flywheel, balance shaft or any thing on the crank is nearly 10kg!!!!! have a look at the attachments and you'll see stage one before and after, we have actually taken MORE off the crank since adding the carrillos.
