By the position of the front wheel it looks like you've stopped rather quickly.
Onwards and upwards eh?

"Sorry Officer, umm.... my yellow power band got stuck wide open"
You are one lucky bastard. That could have been a whole lot worse.
Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.
Congrats on surviving.

I hit the car and the car won?
Springs Road on Wednesday after work. I'm heading back home to Christchurch from Lincoln and the car pulls out from my left (Stop sign) at the last moment. Just didn't see me. I had already checked the car's wheel for movement twice and switched attention back to oncoming and right.
As a guide, not an excuse: it was dusk (so shit lighting) and the intersection (Boundary Rd) had cars from all directions, along with road works across from the car that pulled out (where he was going).
I don't remember what i did at that point, which is good. The photo suggests I veered right to avoid the car, since the crash and debris is in the opposite lane. I was fairly close to the centre line deliberately to give myself space for this kind of event and better visibility (cue "KB discussion"). That probably saved my life, since I hit the front instead of a full broadside. I probably did not brake, so impact was close to 100km/hr (my guess). Superman over the top and bounce/tumble/roll/skid.
Well done for staying alive. Lotto ticket coming I guess.

Good thing you walked away... not bad for hitting a car at 100!
Don't suppose you heard what the driver had to say after hitting you? "SMIDSY"?
Library Schooled
I'm amazed that at 100km/h your bike is still right by the car. I'd expect the bike to bounce off a fair way.
Did ya do a flip?
