Its also very noticeable that the economies that reined in excess spending when the recession hit ( ours and then a little later the UK ) are now coming out of it rather better than the socialist poisoned economies who are in denial and just kept spending money they dont have.

3) Go full bore on offshore drilling and open cast mining , fracking. As long as what is chopped down etc is reinstated / regenerated and the economic benefits are heavily weighted in favour of New Zealand, its workers and citizens

4) Cap CEO salaries to acceptable rather than stupid levels

5) Get rid of the emissions trading scheme, its a crock

6) Get rid of paid parental leave, the country cannot afford it

7) Stop all treaty settlements NOW, and roll back many of the top ups

8) Abolish race based parliamentary seats

9) Ban gay marriage

10) Reinstate an Air Strike Force

11) Introduce a period of compulsory military training for all school leavers, to knock youth into shape

12 ) Raise the voting age to 30 plus

13) Raise education standards and from all the wasteful spending in other areas ( disingenuous treaty settlements etc ) plough lots of money into education and retire overseas debt quickly

14) Solve Aucklands problems and the countries problems by having a decentralisation policy. Everything DOESNT have to go to Auckland!

15) Roll back the number of civil servants, its totally disproportionate

16) Get really hard on the drug problem. Death penalty for those manufacturing and selling hard drugs.

17) Maintain our connection to the monarchy, no talk of Republics and the immense costs in running same

18) Change our flag only to positively differentiate it from the Aussie one. Keep the union flag in the corner and have a kiwi logotype

19 ) Tax everything that comes across the border, thereby removing one of the unfair impediments to running a viable business

20) Immigration, its ok but be selective, we want predominantly skilled immigrants from the EC.
