Shit that was awesome. Both Marc and Jorge showed just how good they are as racers. Normally by lap 10 I am falling asleep...not this race, was wired right up until the finish.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Gazza was over there for that one wasn't he? Great race to be at.

Stunning race, glad to see Jorge back and better than before. It's how GP racing should be.

Yeah lucky bugger. He picked the best round to be at..so far. Can't wait to hear his stories over a Sunday morning coffee at Martinborough when he's back.

I've liked all the races this year, but then I wonder where the moaners are complaining how it was just a procession for so many laps until near the end.

I do like the Honda winning but looks like they need to screw it up a bit if Jorge is going to get that close.

I'm not worthy. Watched Erzberg & the moto 2 and 3 simultaneously. Had a melt down before the main event & retired early.
Woke up to the missus banging on about how good the race was.
TBH, the fact the missus stayed up to watch them both alone is a huge buzz in itself. Just have to persuade her to watch them again. Should be on Sommet again shortly.
Certainly sounds like the rest of the season could be hot!

So how come according to this http://resources.motogp.com/files/re...df?v1_cf815f75 that while Marc's Honda peaked at 340.1 km/hr during the race and George's Yamaha peaked at only 333.8 it shows the big guy Rossi got his up to 341.0 and Pol's Yamaha did 341.5?

    Interesting difference.

And Andrea Ianone managed the fastest speed ever on a Motogp bike, on the Ducati at 349 kmh.......

Prob because of slipstreaming, the leading bikes top speed gets dragged down.(fookn horrible feeling)
Even so, MM could easily pull out and pass the Yamaha down that straight at will.No such luck for Lorenzo.
Jorge was riding the arse off the bike to stay in the hunt.

The last 5 laps of the race or so had me riveted to the TV. It felt like it could easily have gone either way. Probably the most exciting race of the season for me.

There have been various suggestions hereabout as to who Suzuki should be signing to ride their GP bike. I'm not sure as to the significance of this, but a few days ago Eugene Laverty was testing the bike in Japan.

    I enjoyed that race immensely.

They made a last minute change to MM's Honda's top gear to help with a drafting pass. Worked a treat. The rest is all about drive out of the corner. Take a look at how hard and early MM picks it up and pulls the pin.
