New to bikes, new to this forum, thought I'd say g'day (R0tt3n)

    Hey everyone

I'm Tristan, I live in Wellington at the moment, and I've just recently swapped from tweaking and thrashing cars to getting into bikes. A 1986 gsxr750g kindof fell into my lap, had been rotting in a garage for 13 odd years so I've spent the last 5months playing with it, last week a 1988 gsx750es sort of found it's way from Otaki to my garage, and yesterday a 1984 gsx750es pulled the same trick from Palmys so now I have three dirty old Suzuki 750's. I've been doing all my own work on oldschool cars for years (just sold the love of my life - '83 Toyota Celica/Supra drifter - in favour of money for bikes - a younger me would have killed me for this haha) so a lot of my knowledge of engines etc translates and I'm pretty good with figuring stuff out; however in saying this, I need all the help and advice with these things I can get. So please be patient if I ask stupid, obvious questions The GSXR is dereg and has a broken steering lock, however both GSX frames are on hold - so basically my plan is to put the GSXR engine in the better of the two GSX frames, and make a few "adjustments" here and there, and the other frame will keep it's number matching engine with some parts from the other one, and I will restore it to original (another concept younger me would kill me for). So, basically, I may need a lot of advice, and I have a LOT of parts to sell (2x pairs of wheels, an 80% complete gsx750 engine, gsx forks and brakes, lights, indicators, fairings, switches, etc etc etc). So any help with anything will be greatly appreciated, and if there is any way that I can help anyone whether it's garage space to work on things or a helping hand or cheap parts, I'm in.
Sorry about the long introduction, but hey, if you got this far you can't have been that bored, right?

Welcome, you're off to a stellar start.

Don't make multiple threads in different sub-forums about the same thing. I've merged them.

I will try, don't take too much of the banter aimed at you to heart, don't feed the trolls, do read the site rules, or take the critique and infractions on the chin.

Some of us have been here for a long time.

Some of us are really intolerant, and some of us just stir for shits and giggles.

Some of us are completely innocent of any of the above

I didn't read your opening post, too long and too many words with no spaces. I am a good reader, but tonight I simply cant be bothered

I have however green repped some of the obviously funny posts.

    Welcome to KB.

...... years ago, I purposely started a thread in site stuff because it says 'Site announcements, discussion requests, recommendations and KB community discussion' ... someone pulled me on it and I said ''apparently you can post any old shit in site stuff'' me 'ole mate Joni took acceptation to that and infracted me after replying ''apparently not''...

    Bring back Johnny!

    to be fair?

To be fair, I'm not cute, and apparently my sense of humour doesn't work so well these days.

Wasn't aware that posting something twice because it looked like the original post's area of the site wasn't used much would cause such a problem though.

    Won't do it again.

Mate, the sense of humor on here is can often be described as dry. Dry like the dusty hands of all these neanderthalic knuckle dragging shitlords.

Still, you've not got bad taste in cars, even if your bike preferences do run to the beige...

I think most use the what's new thingo, or kbspy to keep abreast of things, so which forum is where generally doesn't matter, except to the lofty moderator overlords (and god only help you if you an image large than VGA res ).
