Hey Kev, long time no see! You've always done as you've always wished! Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes! You got space for the bike(s) on it?

Hi joe,, good to see you again.
Yeah have to have a bike, don't think it can go on a boat,, will park it up and just ride sometimes.
The weather here is great, but a few things here are really frustrating..
They don't sort of help us kiwis too much.
Took me 3 and a half years to get a medicare card,,
The pension is going up to 67.. and its means tested
    The list goes on.
NZ isn't a bad spot,, just wish it was a bit warmer....
    Cheers
    Kev

Welcome back to the best part of the planet. Know what ya saying with the the nay sayers, drive anyone bonkers. At least with the boat its easy to drop them off anywhere it's wet, lol.

From personal experience owning a vessel, one quickly learns that the word 'boat' is an acronym for "better organize another thousand"

All the best with your new lodgings and enjoy it.

Yes,, people are telling me owning a boat is just a big hole in the water where you put money into..
So is owning a house, a car. a bike.
    A wife................
    Cant live anywhere for free....
Not going to rush into this.
    But it will happen.

    Well that's done it,,
Bought a boat off TM. The only prob is its up in Vanuatu
Rang NZ customs, about bringing it here, fuk,, was up for duty, GST, getting it cleaned on arrival, etc.
Thought about it,, well why don't I go and live up there.
Done a deal, subject to survey,, and me seeing it.
Does anyone know anything about the place, picked up a bit of info on google.
Its a 36ft cat, 23ft wide.. also got a davit on the back ,, to load a smallish bike.
    Cant wait to get there
And that is the honest truth your honour..

    yep been in vanuatu...
1 bay on main island I can think of is year round hurricane safe...
Vanuatu is piss poor with very lovely friendly people..
apart from tourist traps there is nothing there.
    great place to spend time...
    live year round.?
    bit uninspiring probably
    flying to and fro ?

Surely this rule will apply differently if you have owned the boat for some time, or if you do not intend to stay in NZ with it?
    Anyway, sounds fun!

MAF, don't you mean MPI. Still the same bunch of rejects, just with a shiny new name.

Not allowed to leave nz without boat being up to cat 1 specs.....
    reasonably costly..
basicly boat needs safety gear so less likely to need costly help from us when in trouble
