    Name suppression for high profile people

    I don't agree with it, it breeds a culture of impunity amongst the elite. Such as this guy, convicted of committing an indecent act and then gets name suppression.

    Don't agree with the suppression system, only pleaded guilty on the understanding blar blar blar - yeah right, more like he didn't want the woman's story reinforced by others. About time NZ's over paid judges tackled these "high profile" pricks. Yes, the pun was intended.

    I don't agree with the register due to its affects on teens and its use from overprotective, over controlling parents. Classic case is the 16yo boy dating the 15.5yo Girl can end up on a register and have the rest of his live ruined.

    Do the crime, do the time, no suppression, but that is where it ends.

    There should be no name suppression after guilt is proven or admitted. Prior to proving guilt, I agree with name suppression

    Best thing Labour could do at the moment would be to make Jacinda Adern leader.

    She'd probably sway a lot of the undecided/uninterested/toolazytovote voters.
