I thought it was terrible. Jane Fonda's tiny titties notwithstanding.

Awful dialogue and laboured "plot" such as it was, pointless resolution and half an hour too long. Some cool set and costume design but definitely NOT the SF classic it is sometimes touted as.

I love science fiction from that era: one of my favourite films of all time is SILENT RUNNING which is a bona fide classic. Early Doug Trumbull VFX which got him the gig with STAR WARS.

People rave about DARK STAR but honestly I didnt think it was that crash-hot. It is touted as the progenitor for ALIEN (due to the writing team) but it is a bit lame.

'Buried' is definitely on my list of the 'worsterest movies", I did not like 'Gravity' either. 'Avatar' was great though. I really loved that world that they built.

Hm, Terminator 3 was total crap. I liked the other ones though.
If you enjoyed WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS then get your sorry arse to see HOUSEBOUND which opens tonight. I saw it at the NZIFF.

WWDITS pales into comparison. I thought the script was very little more than a series of skits, that Cory Gonzales dude is a shit comedian and a terrible actor. There were some very funny parts in it don't get me wrong (some of the sight gags were excellent).

HOUSEBOUND is way way better. Horror comedy, tight tight script, well acted, fantastic sets and locations and just really well done.

T3 (and 4 and 5 and I think they are shooting 6) were basically money driven. I didnt mind the one with Christian Bale (was that 3) but my favourite is T2. I did enjoy T1 though and because they had no money its a much tighter and more character driven thing. Plus, you know, splosions.

We'll be the judge of that. Post some links and we will critique your performance.

Actually don't bother, I'll just get it from your iCloud.

And yes, scripting, sound production, and acting are all just as good

RED DAWN (the remake) OK, and the original are "up" there too.

In terms of good B movies, I am a fan of John Carpenter (ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, ESCAPE FROM LA, THE THING, ASSAULTO NPRECINCT 13). I was horrified to read recently of the remake of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. Though the remake of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 didnt entirely suck donkey balls.

I would totally watch that. It looks like it is up there with EVOLUTION (David Duchovny) and TREMORS (Kevin Bacon)
