    Boots advice please

    Hi guys,

looking to buy a new pair of casual boots that I can keep on during uni from riding there.

    was looking at this one

    http://www.causewayyamaha.com.au/pd1...-boots-canvas/

    looks casual as well.

There is also a leather version but waterproof.

any experience with these? and other suggestions pls?

    Thanks

You might want to stay away from these bro. All you need is for the laces to come loose and you're completely twatted. I'd recommend taking a look at "speed and strength, moto mercenary" boots. I've got a pair and they're comfortable, sturdy and casual. The whole skull design thing isn't really my style but it doesn't stand out that much so its all good. At the very least get some so that you have a guard going over the laces.

I'm using Gaerne G-Duke's at the moment. Water Proof and comfortable. Seem to be holding up but I'm not walking miles in them.

Can't comment on those boots, but....

I'm really enjoying my Dainese Cafe Racer boots.

I spent some time looking for boots which I can also wear at work, and came up with the following list:
    http://uniongaragenyc.com/shop/motor...s/indian-boots
    http://www.urbanrider.co.uk/brands/r...ots-black.html
    http://uniongaragenyc.com/shop/motor...cx-x-street-wp
    http://www.urbanrider.co.uk/motorcyc...cle-boots.html

Boots which can be worn off the bike is a common theme, and there are plenty out there! Read some reviews and see what you think will work best for you.

I got a pair of Alpinestars S-MX 1. Very comfortable and looks the biz.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I am looking for some boots too. However, I need some to fit my size 13 EEE feet. So far the largest I can find in New Zealand is size 46 aka size 12 and I suspect that they will be too tight. Anyone know where I could look?

Just contacted Revit NZ. They have a boot with the right length but it is WAY too narrow.

Most bike shops stock street type shoes like this. From what I've seen they're not really that protective though.

If you were set on getting a pair I would just go into your regular bike shop - most of them stock these. I've seem them at Red Baron and Motomail at least.

Personally I only wear boots with good leather coming past the ankle joint. Incidence of amputation is significantly lower.
When business or casual are needed at the other end I have nearly polished Johnny Rebs. Adding in some memory foam I doles. Certainly all I wore when I was a student.
They tuck under jeans or dress pants.

Join the club. Gearne are good. Johnny Rebs are good but have limitations.
Berrick make but importer does not bring them in you could try overseas.
Alpine stars do that size but they are much narrower.
Oxford do, but they are much shorter than the label.

Fox do, they do shortys too. Based on their MX boots I assume you will want to order one size narrower if you are a true 13EEE.
In their tracker I went down one in the width.

Yeah, as if we don't have enough threads about him.
