Zxr250c won't idle

Hi there,

I just cleaned my carbs and replaced my spark plugs,

I had it running while cleaning the carbs and then put everything back together, it was running mint and as i was doing up the last fairing, the bike suddenly died. I tried to restart it and it only starts with choke then dies straight away. Any ideas?

Plug in fuel pump.
Turn fuel on.
Floats are stuck.
Slides are stuck.
Fuel line connected to breather tube.
Out of petrol.
Jets blocked.

The bike was running mint and even started first pop without choke once the plugs were and kept idling fine then just cuts out, i have the switch pointing to the on position and put the line back in the correct place. It has fuel.

Well if it starts on choke, that means it has spark. It probably wont start on choke for to long before that circuit runs out of fuel.

Not through the inlet valves though.

Its likely primary jet blocked or the fuel level in bowl is very low. Needle stuck or floats stuck or needle height altered.
Assume you have bike on side stand?
Try running it upright if its low fuel level issue it might run longer while not on stand.

Maybe you adjusted idle so low it runs lean unless choke is on.

I would have thought that most would have only been up a short time in the ghetto. Its only 10.30pm

Yea you're right, i don't actually belong in the ghetto i just live here. Most of the people here are just waking up after a long day of watching day time etc.
