It's all so confusing coz only good guys wear hi-viz... unless of course they're exercising civil forfeiture.

At least we know that " No thieves were injured during this theft ". due to following correct safety procedures.

    Funny.
A couple of years ago some guys came onto my work place and stole a 5 ton digger. They walked it across 2 paddocks and out to a back road, carefully removing a post and rail fence and then putting it back up again before loading this thing onto a very large trailer pulled by a landrover. Must have taken them a while.
Found the thing about 6 weeks later being used by a semi local contractor.

Not a new concept. When I worked at the big red shed 20 years ago fellers in high via vests with clip boards came in, wandered around, collected up some stuff into pallets, had a staff member wrap it and loaded the pallets onto their truck.

Not a peep until stock take
By then tapes were over written.
No one remembered anything. Except that it happened.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Hi, I'm Barry and this is Dave from the DC. We've cocked up an indent order and we need to get it back off you before our boss finds out. I've got the list here can you give us a hand? Cheers mate, how about that local sports team. Sweet, thanks, bye.

    'tis true.

Post earthquake if there was something that needed doing in our neighbourhood which may not have been entirely sanctioned by the good people at CERA, just put on hi viz vest and hard hat and all anyone did was wave as they went past.

I did hear a story a while back about a couple of guys in a truck removing scrap metal for a few weeks from the old CH womens hospital when it was demolished, until someone asked to see their site permits, after which they were never seen again....
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Yeah mate, got that in the truck, I'll just grab it. .... Ah shit, no its not there. Hang on while I ring my boss. .... yeah, yeah, nah, yeah nah. OK.

Look mate, the boss has got it in his truck and he's in the middle of a job: I'll just whip round in this truck and grab it off him: take half an hour. Back in a flash OK?

It is truly bizarre how if you look the part and act the part, you can almost get away with murder.
