I'm not gettin me knickers in a twist just yet. This thread started on the 8th August, two months old. Off the top of me head the current reported death toll is 4000 or so. In countries which define the word squalor. Add in illiteracy, superstition and fear of strangers.
Either there is a big cover up, thousands dead unaccounted for, containment is relatively effective or transmission is still difficult.

Yup, I'm defo keeping an eye on the reports and like you say our transport systems were just made for viruses.
Might not be this time but it's highly probable eventually. The Spanish flu which did kill millions at the turn of last century is still floating about.

That whole negative air thing in the NZ hospital room on the news last night? been around for years but it's made to look like a new and wow innovation to combat anyone who ''may'' have to be quarantined should they turn up here with it, which in itself, is very unlikely.

The reason for the turn around against MMS was the threat to remove all funding and medical support from the Ugandan Red Cross if they continued!

The reality is this outbreak will kill less people than other current outbreaks of infectious disease around the world, eg malaria, flu, hiv aids, measles, whooping cough etc....
Its just been glammed up by the fear-porn media.

Interestingly enough it also starts off with a suicidal pilot crashing a 747 into the white house. This was written pre 911 by a writer with close military links.
