I do it the normal way, spark plugs out, upside down and a big rag under it. Takes a few days, but that usually meand by the time I pour it back in (fuckin hard upside down) I should have the oil filter compressed enough to fit down the crank breather.

Aint it fun messing around with other peoples fuck ups. My nephew tried changing his own tie rod ends on his nissan terrano last week, the only tools he had were a big hammer and a cresent. It arrives here on a trailer today.
Yesterday I had another fella bring in a chinese 150cc scooter that he has tried to change the drive belt on, usually such an easy job. Now he needs a new variator and sidecover and kicklever.

Hi, not sure if anyone is too interested in this but regardless I'll quickly update on what happened.

Basically, the workshop got it wrong. There was zero damage to the engine itself. We had the shafts in right the first time. They swapped them over and did whatnot and the bike didn't start. Me and my mate put them back how we had them, took apart the whole motor down to the pistons and back together again (just to make 100% sure we knew what we were dealing with) and the bike started right up.

The workshop also did not reinstall the chain tensioner properly, along with leaving bolts torqued to wrong levels and some not even done in finger tight. The bike is now running, no thanks to the workshop, and I'm $600 out for a shitty job from a 'qualified workshop' who didn't know what they were doing.

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for all the negativity in this thread though, even being told to 'take it up the ass and suck it up' among other things.
I saw no reason for such extreme negativity and it has left me with a slightly more negative outlook on this forum unfortunately.

Actually sweetcheeks I'd say the OP has proven himself wrong (see post 6). I don't need an apology, by the way, but a titty pic would be nice?

How exactly have I proven myself wrong? Genuinely curious.
