Are these all public roads/tracks? or some off road?

Sounds like it would be a great ride.

There is gravel and river crossings in places.
Google up some of the roads and routes and you will get the idea.

All public roads as far as I know. We are working on some sort of route at the moment. The idea includes maybe staying at a campsite for a few nights n running the roads with the CTs unloaded. We did the east cape last year and came back up through the Ureweras. Nothing full on offroad but a bit of a challenge.
