Friday Night Raves

Sometimes we just need to have a wee boast or simply have a rave about something really wonderful.

I will start off with a bit of a crow. We had a visit from our account manager at one of the booking portals we use today. We used to only get the usual generic monthly newsletter. It then went to personal emails checking up if we were across certain large bookings, or phone calls to "touch base". Last week it was a call to arrange a visit. We found out today why the attention.

Our figures are impressive to say the least. All of our figures show a marked increase compared to the prior year. The MOST amazing is the stayed room nights, they are up a whopping 46% by comparison with last year. This is our largest portal.

Now, we knew we were busier than usual, regular guests have commented about how busy we are now. One reception staff member can not believe how busy we are compared to last year.

Interestingly, when I have questioned our boss about how busy the motel is, he says we are on target to meet his predictions. So, he predicted a greater than 46% increase in business? I call BS! Can't wait for the conversation regarding the adjusted rewards he is offering for this massive increase in his income

EDIT: Just checked his income as a result is up 58% on last year!

Yeah, it is really hard not to admire Roulls skills with the pool. Crystal clear all year long so far...

We will be Mark.... sooner rather than later.... the air is thick with 'lifestyle' thoughts.
We got two quotes to get a Garage built in Mangakino, with the stipulation that it had to finished by the end of February.

There were several weeks mid year where, NIWA booked the Motel out and soon after, the crew of the Ferry Arahura stayed here for two weeks. Most of July and part of August we could not accept to much in the way of bookings from online portals, and still managed to increase the 'run rate'

695 rooms sold in October alone.... pretty damn good for a 32 room Motel, not our biggest month but gives you an idea how fecken busy things are/have been.
Last Sunday I was in the Laundry from 8am till 7pm, three loads to go at that stage, but I had had enough.
