I don't doubt it. PDath, Mark and others are pretty good at making people weld on and assessing riders ability levels etc.

It is not uncommon though for people to post less than helpful comments in the thread.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Wasn't very learner friendly the two times I've been on it, especially since we rode the big bad scary Ridge road two & three quarter times (to pick up the "fallen").

Looking forward to the next time I can make it along

Wow what a lot of noise.

I'm not too fussed about the exact road we take. It's more of an assessment of what condition various roads are in, the capabilities of the riders that come along that night, and what I think people might need most assistance with.

Last night the weather was great, the roads were great and we had riders come along who are more used to short low speed commuter riding, so we went on a longer rural ride. It still had 35 km/h corners. It also had 100km/h stretches. It had beautiful sweeping corners perfect for practising corner lines and counter steering. Ridge road is a lot shorter, so although it is much more intense having more riding time seemed a better fit last night.

I feel pretty confident that I got the road selection right as everyone seemed pretty happy.

Well since my bike has finally arrived after 3 months of waiting . I can now say that (if I fix it in time) I`ll join in on the next NASS, keen to meet some new riders chit chat and hopefully be able to help out a bit.

So about that ( fix it in time ). Darn battery didn't survive the trip, but then again it already was an old one before I shipped it. So I`ll be getting a new battery or just some acid for the spare that I brought along. Which will hopefully also fix the ignition problems that started while I was riding on Coatesville-Riverhead Hwy. Suddenly a top speed of 50kph isn't very nice on that road. Stopped, tried to fix it, couldn't . Luckily Kevin from MRS happened to drive past and was willing to pick me up and drive me back home.

So... new battery, fix the ignition and I`m all set .

Keep an eye out for this idiot (clickable for bigger):

So you lot have the displeasure of having to put up with my obnoxious self for the next 2 NASS meetings - I have got my CBT2 (FULL LICENCE WOOHOO!) booked for the 20th of Dec with Dawn at Rider training (plug plug)

so will be coming along to just make sure that some of the lesser used skills are up to par and some of my bad habits are under control

Pretty Please Mr P.Dath - if we could do either a ride or skills to help with full licence prep then I will buy you a non-alcoholic beverage at Bar Africa

Of course we'll help, beverage or otherwise. Think about what you find most difficult (e,g. U-Turns, standing start U-Turns, slow speed manoeuvring, etc).

    The weather seems perfect.

Is anyone going to just the car park (and not coming along for the ride)?

Me probably. She's not running nice enough for me to be happy with her.

And not so sure I did my brakes properly.
What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.

What makes you think the brakes might not be done properly? I don't think I could trust my bike if I didn't feel confident in the brakes.
