Flashback 1977 Marlboro Series Cemetery Circuit

When smokers ruled and diesels puked their guts out.
    Well the sidecars anyway...

Great days the Marlboro days and sidecars lived up to their billing huh! RIP Greg, you went well on the tandem twin.

I wasn't at Wanganui that year but saw the last races at Ruapuna instead when Jeff Sayle wrapped up the title. They were great days for racing in this country.

As for Croz I can't say I remembered he had a tooth missing then - funny things you see on the videos eh!

    "A sidecar's done it, for a start"....

    GOLD !

Those "sweeping generalisations" go back years...

Can you imagine trying to get away with that these days...although, having learnt the NZCMRR are going back to thread the concrete canyon at Pukekohe again, maybe...?

All this, and years before Choppa was even born.
I think the best line of the day (off camera) went to the munter that dropped the oil. He walked up to the guys cleaning up the mess & said "have you buggers seen a Triumph oil cap amongst this lot"
