Hey y'all !!!! Loving the banter, pics and vids. Bummed i missed SASS night and newcomers (Sup Y'all), had a tangi to attend and respect to pay. Sounds like y'all had a great ride BTW who has the army gun Moto Guzzi...thats all kinda smexy . On the upside, took Glen Murray Rd out the back blocks of Waikaretu heading to Pukerewa, which is 4.5 clicks from Nikau Cave Cafe. Came back through Pukekawa-Mercer. Roads along the ridgelines aren't great aye...roadworks, slumping, slips, potholes, gravel, massive tar runnels and tacky road surfaces made for an interesting ride out and hairy night ride home. Killed a few bunnies for good measure. Hope to make it next week. Krakn up at our Chaps-mans need to clarify "context" ... we all know ur a mild mannered gentle-lad by day and a leather clad assless chaps wearing Thursay "night rider" hehehehe sorry mate, i couldn't resist.

Finally have a few days off after working 12 days straight....

The CBR has some new shiny bits on it, just need the fairings to arrive! Also need to take the rear wheel in for a new tire.
The ZXR motor should be on my table tomorrow, so will crack her open and see what lays ahead.

So probably won't be there next week, since the fairings are needed to mount those indicator thingis onto

Comments re are they relative to road south of Nikau Cave turn off on SH22. Have been down that way twice now and did not think it was that bad. I know that from the caves road west it gets Knarly and unsealed at times. A couple told us not to go that way when we were lunching at the cafe.

If coming from H-Town there's two ways I know to get to Pukerewa - take SH22 and go through Waingaro and the other is via Rangiriri-Glen Murray Rd (past the dairy factory on the corner and follow that all the way to the first T intersection and hang a left)...that's gnarly and that's the route I took. Also, once past Nikau Cave Cafe the meander gets tight as you head back into the interior. The last portion was through private land and up the ridgelines on metal road with horrible pot holes in places...literally up to the highest point that gives a panoramic view of the coast and interior Waikato. My tractor wasn't meant to operate as a trail bike much less go where I make it go hehehehe LOL...of course, every single person I asked for directions beforehand said "naw its peasy to get to and all good, just go to Nikau Cave Café and its not far from there..."IN A PIGS EYE it aint far!!!!! LOL i'm so naïve...was definitely fretting about my precious and laying it down. On the upside, I went to the Meremere drags today-great if hot and finally got to go to Puhoi Pub...lots of dickhead boy racers out too, very aggressive and prone to baiting. Stupid "male chickens" ...

    How did Teawamutu fang go?
Sayonara PO Panda and HURRAH Gibbox...mmmm must come celebrate with us at SASS when you finally sit and score ur FL ticket.

Going for my learners today(monday), it will be my first time on public main roads so not sure if i'll be confident enough to ride out to south.

Maybe after I get a bit more experience in on main roads with cagers around me, also fucked up my finger so not sure if i'll be able to use the clutch
I just stop & do my best to refrain from having conversations with people that ain't in my lane

Good luck today Aziz. Let us know if you'd like an escort out South or to SASS if ur keen, someone might be able to meet ya and you could shadow them to the rendezvous point. Hope ur finger heels fast, bugga! How'd ya manage that? Now that's bloody inconvenient isn't it!

A big ride for your first one is not a good idea. You will be surprised how tired you will get. I can pop out for a short ride one evening if you want another rider along.
