I'm pretty keen to go and to take my Honda RS250 next year, but as Al and I have been discussing, it is a 1998 model.
While that is OK in Post Classic Period 6 in Australia, it seems that they don't run up to that at this meeting, or have not yet.
Is there anyone/anyway NZPCRA can lobby to get P6 included? Or what spec would be needed?
It is effectively the same as a 1993 NX5 (i.e. has non-power jet carbs) but with airbox added.

    Cheers

Australian Period 6 cutoff is December 1990, and with an already-jampacked race programme I can't see the Island Classic or historic nationals opening up the programme any further as yet : I think your best chance of a gallop is with the PCRA of NSW at the Barry Sheene Classic at Eastern Creek.

Nup. Just had a look through MA MoMs and it would be a no go.

Steve, as GD says you need the class AFTER P6. They had 56 races on the programme this year and ditched the sidecars due to low entry numbers and it was looking very tight each day. the last few races got shortened by a lap to fit everything in. So adding more classes is unlikely - the P6 style classes for 250's have only run the last 2 years by the way, so a new generation beyond that is probably some time away.

Apol's I thought you still had your 1988 bike, not a 1998 when we were messaging via FB the other night.

Find a 89/90 anywhere or P5 / Forgotten Era bike?

Find a bike..... LOL. I have enough trouble finding my own shadow!!! Mind you I do know some guys in Oz with NF4 bikes.

Yeah, sold my 89 bike to a bloke in Norway. Needed the cash and got a lot of that for it. All gone now of course.
