With the number of people that die after being hit by a sober driver ... whats a few drunks added to the mix ...

Then ... there's dem texting teenagers ... and dem motorcyclists ... that lose control and crash on their own ... SOBER.

Is it LEGISLATION that needs change ... or personal attitudes ... ??? Personal choice does have it's downside ... but the downside is more often felt to a greater effect ... by others ...

It's already known that the lack of a VALID drivers license wont stop (some) people driving ... drunk OR sober.

But...he's only been caught FOUR times!...NZ Justice system dosn't come down hard on drunk drivers till at least the 14th!! conviction. (THEN your classified as a "possible risk")
...until you kill an innocent, THEN the courts get "serious"...and lock you up for 6-9 months

Ive always liked Scummys idea...take there fucking eyes!! (drive NOW pisshead!)

...but after being hit by three of the bastards...I may be "slightly" prejudice

Now if the fucker was found with a tinny on him, then the JUSTICE system would take note and make sure he got life.

Would he tell the owner of that car of that possible outcome when he borrowed the car?

As it is already lots get caught out with 'mates' driving their car when said mate was (unknown to them - allegedly) disqualified/had licence suspended etc.

Is the 'mate' that is lending his car aware that if the driver has no licence / drunk there is also no insurance, so they are already risking the loss of their vehicle

The threat of recidivist drunk drivers and "dangerous" tourists is hugely overstated.

The very worst people on the road are the people in the middle of the curve, because they have most of the accidents and cause most of the accidents. You know, decent law abiding types who haven't opened a road code since they passed their license.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    I feel for this guy.
What damned bad luck he kept getting busted at checkpoints.
He was obviously driving well and had not been stopped for not doing so.

Drink driving hysteria has swept the PC world.
There is nothing wrong with driving drunk if you know what you are doing.
A good driver is a better driver when drunk.
A crap driver is a danger to all when drunk.

Most people are crap drivers, as proven by the statistics that say 80% of deaths are caused by SOBER drivers.
The other 20% is caused by crap drivers that have been drinking.

I am an awesome driver, drunk or sober and have never injured or killed anyone.

The world does not recognise the fact that driving is a skill and that 95% of drivers/riders don't have it.
