I looked it at it a few days ago. I don't really trust it. If it was such a bargain it would have gone by now but it hasn't. I think the seller has discovered something which prevents him from getting a revin easily and wants to flick it off now. Experienced it twice now.

You sure its same bike. Listing was a hour old when I found it.
Easy to find out if you have plate number just go cop shop and ask.
Looks like your average didn't bother to keep registration up likely due to the tire needing replaced so no wof.
Does not hurt to ask him as its finished for under 2k and worth 3+

I'm kinda torn up with buying one now as I have a 2012 Hyosung GT250R EFI that I ride every day and it has been reliable has hell with low mileage, not a single issue! Done like 10,000kms in 4 months now and an R6 waiting for me in the garage for when I get my full (I couldn't pass up buying the R6, got an amazing deal for it!).
Reason I wanted a ZXR or CBR is because I thought they'd be a bit quicker and be the next step up before the R6 because the R6 is so fucking fast I can't even handle it or have the discipline to ride something like it right now.
I don't want to get an older bike and then have to deal with the issues that come with them, especially carburetted bikes which I am sick of now after owning a few. What do you guys reckon? Just keep the hyo till I get my full in november and do some track days on it? Or get one of them "Golden days" bikes?

I wouldn't call a old 250 inline 4 a huge step up.
If you want to get ready for the R6 practice good lines and awareness of what is happening around you.
Get your head in a good place about riding safely.

Buy this and put a race tail on it and good tires and go to track days etc. That will sharpen your skills in the corners. A good low power bike that needs the speed kept up will train you.
Offer him 500 odd cash before someone bids with the idea of going 600 max.
Chuck a tail on it and tire and your track riding for under a Grand.

Thanks for the advice! I currently have 4 bikes in the garage though so I can't get a track-only bike just yet unfortunately. Definitely consider something cheap like that after I sell them though. They pop up on the odd occasion. I have a bike suited for bucket racing but I haven't gotten around to prepping it with sliders etc just yet though. Track riding would be better than bucket racing though right?

Buckets is good. You get the same effect because the corners are tight and the change of direction is rapid plus your close to others while racing. I have raced 1000cc and buckets. Buckets will give you good skills without huge dollars.
One thing ill never do again is put my top road bike on a track again. Didn't have any mishap but the risk out ways the fun factor when you have other part time track riders around you. Cheaper to get a low price track bike than fix your road bike.

Far better off learning limits in a controlled environment then riding well below those limits on the road.

Hornets better bike than both.
I would ride a 600+ cc dual purpose bike if I had a learners licence. Saying that I am tall so the 250s are to physically small for me.

Everyone on here hates Hyosung but I can honestly say my 2012 fuel injected one has been more amazingly reliable than the older bikes my mates have such as Bandits, hornets and even ZXRs and CBRs. Starts first pop every damn day, I get almost 430km to a $23 tank. Since I replaced the stock chain and sprockets, the shit stock brake pads and fluid and tyres, the bike has been nothing but awesome NOT A SINGLE FUCKING ISSUE. Done over 10,000kms in 4 months or so on it and I have no trouble keeping up with the jap bikes in the same class on weekend rides. I personally highly recommend the newer ones. Far better than my old GSX250 which is why I moved to them in the first place. I can't compare my hyosung to what it's like to ride the Ninja or CBR300s as I haven't ridden them but I feel like ignorance is bliss for now.

I know what a good bike feels like, my R6 is just in a class of it's own (obviously). But I can't fault the hyosung. I just wanted one of them old CBRs or ZXRs to have more speed. Only thing with the hyo is I am proactive with maintenace and care. I wipe it down after a ride especially around the digital speedo cluster and spray WD-40 on footpegs, mirror mounts, anything that is made to pivot etc whenever it dries off after being wet. Oil and filter change every 4000km, lubricate the chain every 500km or so and you're good to go!

Do you think these bikes (zxr250 and cbr250) will go up in value over the next 5 or so years? with all the new LAMS bikes being so good i cant really figure out if they will or not.
