Is my gear OK for NZSBK racing at Taupo?

I have just entered for development class this weekend at Taupo. (my first race event)
Just want to check if my gear is upto scratch. Helmet, back protector, gloves, boots.
My helmet is a Shark speed - R IKE Like this one:

It has numbers written on the strap but unsure if this is legal for racing?

the standards for gear aren't too strict. you'll be fine. as long as it's in good condition, Not damaged and has the sticker on the helmet saying it meets the Aussie and nz standards

There is no sticker on the helmet.
My boots are abit worn around the toe area from leaning over, I will try post a photo as im abit worried they might be to worn for racing.

the standard yours as is mostly likely the european one, which is accepted, it will have a tag on the strap, not a sticker on the out side,

it will have an e and a number with a circle around it, and then a serial number,

as long as the hole does not go though, or nearly go through it wont be an issue, skuffing is fine,

If it doesn't have that, look under the comfort liner as some standards stickers like Snell etc are stuck to the EPS liner under the comfort liner.

most racers would not know that, i never read the rule book, its more the fact i sold motorcycle helmets for a long time and needed to know for the 5% that actually read the rule book before they turned up to race,

The specs for that helmet you sent the link illustration specify it carries a code of ECE 2205 which is ok. In Australia it would have to carry the suffix P, NP or J as well, you will have to check the MNZ requirements.

I just had a look, according to rule 8.2 it will need to carry ECE 22-04 or 22-05 with a P suffix.

Do you mean they have worn through the Toe Scrapers??
If so they will be fine. If through the leather though it can be a little tougher.... to hide.....

The above numbers indicate the helmet is approved to ECE 22-05 standard. Explained below:

E11 = UK Certified to ECE 22-05 by the UK Notifying Body (the E indicating ECE standard and the number the country where certified)
550194 indicates the individual approval number for ECE 22-05
P indicates 'protective' as in tested (including the chin bar as a protective full face helmet) (J would indicate a Jet or open face style helmet)
018217 indicates the batch production number (test results are held for each production batch should they be required for investigative purposes)

My father in law has some racing boots that I will borrow. They are abit tite but will do for the weekend.
My boots are more like touring boots than racing boots. Worn through the rubber at the toe area

Good Plan.... Yeah, thinking about it, race boots have a bit more structure around the ankle area plus others.... Pays not to skimp, ankles are a nightmare to mend...
