I'm just tossing up my MotoGP viewing options this season.

Last season Sommet was great, but that story is now over. I'm not going to join Sky.

I've looked at the MotoGP Videopass a few times. Does this actually stream the video ok in NZ?

I use Unotelly at home. At there any broadcasters in Australia or nearby that stream it in their countries?

    Thumbs up

The videopass works great but if your connection speed is not good that could be problematic. IIRC my connection speed used to be about 7mbps and it was OK, at 34mbps or thereabout it's fine.

There is also a lot of extra content such as races from previous seasons and various interviews etc. There was also the "After the Flag" series but Gavin Emmett has moved on and I don't know if they are still doing that. It's worth the $150 odd dollars or whatever the current exchange rate is.

At the end of the season you have to be quick because the subscription expires after the last race, if you shag about your sub will have expired before you watch the race.

Tomorrow is pension day and in the absence of positive news from SKY it will likely also be Dorna sub day.

If you've got wifi you could use a chromecast.

My desktop computer just lives behind the TV, use hdmi cable with wireless keyboard and mouse. I have the same problem with smart TV and compatibility. The new generation smart TV (Samsung at least)work well, dad watches on his.

My boss is using Chrome cast with success. Sounds pretty easy to use as well

TV hides the desktop & modem well. Apart from the news we pretty much stream all our TV these days.

If I'm shoved outta the living room for some reason I just unroll the long hdmi cable out to the 55inch in the bedroom. Which is where the ps3 is usually set up.

Well I expect an imminent announcement that SKY have contracted to cover the GPs, 'cause I just paid the Dorna video subscription. The other day I tried to log in using Firefox but couldn't remember what password I had used. Today I clicked on the bookmark in Safari and the site greeted me by name. I went to my details and it took just one more click to spend E99 - almost too bloody easy.

Of course getting everything up and running on my network may not be so easy but I've got a few days.

Don't start me as I got ripped with this LG.
I get so fucked off with my "so CALLED" 55" LG SMART tv?? Biggest fuckin rip off out there "so called" smart TV's.
Everytime I try watching something other than normal TV it aint so SMART.
Useless heap of crap wont even stream TV on demand. Nothing bloody smart about a tv that becomes a monitor for anything other then Normal TV.
TV 1 & 2 wont work, tv3 claps out after each ad, Moto GP wont go full screen(goes like zoomed in), WSBK was ok but doing torrents this year because of their 3 day delay bullshit.

I have a permanent HDMI cable to my laptop 720p is about the best our connection can do smoothly thats fine for viewing
its a grunty laptop but is jerky on the battery best powerd. And I take the internet feed put of the TV and plug it directly into the laptop. Goes good then.
Shouldnt have to do that if the TV was actually SMART LOL
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
