Nice, I will try it. How about any 100% waterproof jacket you reckon? Would one of those warehouse rain jackets good enough for wearing over a leather jacket if it rains?
Yes, just went to get one of those today and they are on sale.
Different strokes for different folks.
I bought an Oxford one for 40GBP in UK over ten years ago, its NEVER leaked and is no drama to put on or take off, like anything you have to think about the process and find a way that works for you.
I've worn it at a track day at Taupo that turned wet and plenty of wet touring miles on GSXR. Yes seat can be slipppy but makes you smoother and think about where your weight is. Could always put a strip of inner tube rubber across seat for grip...
I think the big problem is in the past (about 10-15years ago) most of the entry level rain gear coming into NZ via MC distributors was absolute shite and left many people with bad taste in mouth and wet arse... A onsie rain suit also packs up real small. Another option is $2 shop disposable rain ponchos and some duct tape....

I have a WFO one piece rain suit, brilliant. Never leaked and I have had it for years.
Now someone just needs to invent a helmet with an extended section up the middle to keep my mohawk straight.
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
Rain-off are now AU based. I have tried a local supposed stockist (listed on the rain-off page) but they can't help any more.

I have a pair of english frank thomas winter gloves that are waterproof, from memory they cost an arm and a leg I got them from a bike shop in London about 15 years ago.
I have a 2 peice cordure suit that is very warm and waterproof, dont wear it often and not since I have lived on the east cape. Its brand has a armidillio on it but cant think what it is.
I don't wear this gear often. Good to have but its just too warm for NZ unless you live below Christchurch and ride in the winter.

Took your advice and just bought a clear MX jacket. Hopefully it stays together. Cheers.
Kathmandu on the grand scale of things aren't that flash with any of their products.
Better to look at proper Hunting apparel
I use a HUNTECH wading jacket for emergencies as well as a proper motorcycle one piece over suit, but during a 200km ride back to Wellington at the height of the Manawatu floods a few years back the only part of me that kept dry was my upper half just due to the jacket![]()
