Yeah ill likely get the 2014 busa shock just for the fact its 1 year old and only 20 dearer than the next option.
Been offered a gsxr1000 shock 330mm also for 85 which is tempting but spring looks light for 2 up with gear.

Cool, 2 beer job to fit. Easy as to do. They need a good chunk of preload, think I added 8mm to the stock Busa setup but mine was gen 1 Busa.

On the chain, with the busa shock it will look a bit saggy when you check it on the ground but it will be right when 2 up.

Shocks on the must do. The exhaust and extra 10hp not so important as its tour and rallies and not so much for sporty rides.
I have a mid pipe already so if I see a great deal on a 2inch inlet pipe ill swap it at some point. I cant lower the passenger pegs on the stock pipe but wifey has already climbed on with no issues even though she was in a dress at the time. No Photos.

Stock pipe shouldnt make any difference, my bracket is on the stock place. I just run a plate back to it. Piece of piss. Not pretty but works very well.

Yeah I guess. I have some ally bar already. Maybe if the lady complains ill do it. With the lifted back on the busa shock she might. The riders(brand) seat that's on the bike isn't in the best condition on the cover. Might see if I can get a new cover.

The seat will have her higher than stock so you may well not need it. One thing i did do was add a hand hold for her for down hill. Will get a pic tomorrow. Not much to hold on to back there. Was easy to make. My Missus spends most of her time with her hands on her lap but down hill that little extra helps so she doesnt slide into you.

Just found a couple of old pics. You get the idea on the exhaust brackets. As I say not pretty but works. Once a couple of other projects are done it will all get pulled off and cleaned up.

The little hand holds that come out are grind pegs off scooters....

We got Superior Saddles make that seat for us.

Its only the getting on that wifey struggles with on some bikes. But im talking pegs 50+mm higher than the back wheel.
We toured on a SP1 lol. That's almost the worst passenger back seat I have seen.

I thought a B-King shock would be a great option but sitting on the bike it feels like it could do with the 30mm tail lift of the busa shock.
It might be that im used to a much higher seat and lower bars.
I need the weather to clear so I can go for a good ride and see what is happening at the front end.
Going to need spring upgrade I would expect at the very least with the rear lifted it will impact on the front a bit more than it would at stock heights.

Springs and a basic re-valve. Easy stuff.

I put some old motocross bars on which are lower but wider. Much easier 2 up.

Problem is once you start its hard to stop.
$50 fork mod this week just ends up becoming a gsxr750 modified head, lumpy cams plus some flat slides, a big bore kit plus a bottom end rebuild and a V&H complete titanium exhaust system and 190hp. Now the $50 fork mods not performing and ill be needing a L3 gsxr1000 front end and an extended swingarm plus a fat rear wheel and a penske drag shock and a nitro bottle with 2 stage squirt.

Need stop drinking now.
