Thumb brakes are personal preference surely?



There's a 2010 article which theorises they have more to do with shaping airflow around the radiator (or, rather, through it) than anything else, for the simple reason of heat problems.

Look a bit far back from the leading edge of fairing though. Meh, I doubt they'll be beating down my door to get me on staff.

Lorenzo just too good today...bit of a boring watch apart from Pedros field carve up.

He certainly was. Dani pushed out wide in the first corner by either Crashlow or one of the Pramacs which put him even further back I think, made for good viewing though in a rather boring race.

Considering that the advent of the new Ducati was supposed to cure all of their front end problems, I'm somewhat bemused at the necessity for bigger "winglets" and thumb brakes. If those winglets get any bigger they have to be honest and call them wings.

Gaz, I was there in 2012. Pleased I went, but it must be the worst track EVER to view. The stand seats we bought enabled about 3% of the track to be viewed and on the embankment we saw about 10% but were so far away I had no show of knowing who was Stoner, Pedrosa or Dovi. The Czechs we spectated with were most dour people I have met in the world. They make good piss though.........

One of the reasons I keep returning to Italy.
The people and the track do give it the edge.

Not in the last couple of years. There is no doubting he is probably the fastest guy over race distance in the field. BUT, he hasn't coped well with not getting the holeshot for the last 18 months at least. Yes, I know there have been exceptions in the last couple of seasons, but they've been the exception to the rule. If a track bias suits Honda more than Yamaha, Rossi is the faster Yamaha. Rossi is better able to deal with traffic and a less than ideal bike than JLo and even Pedrosa has upped his game in this regard. If things are right for Marquez and he can strangle a bike like a 14 year-old throttling a trouser snake, he's unbeatable. But he hasn't quite learned how to turn a deficit into an advantage by making distinct changes in style to compensate. It's balls out, hair on fire and it is brilliant!

Having said that, they're all freaks.

Extremelly cool man. I like the plan big. Nori San was a really good fucker, very very funny to see drunk on Sake. A friend of mine in Japan was a good mate of his, and Nori reg came to his Honda Race bike shop to hang out, before he hit the world scene.
