The Allure of a new bike.
It starts with a itch in the back of the mind. Possibly in your soul first transferring to your mind.
A opportunity arises with unexpected funds......
The mental debate starts - mortgage reduction, family trip offshore ...... bike.
You risk a look.
Shit, a couple of desirable rides have been repriced and look achievable .........
An embarrassing number of hours are lodged on the laptop 'researching'
Talks are held with the shops - they are evasive about actual trade values....
One brand has a demo, the other piece of exotica does not.
Too busy at work - but you are determined to book a day/afternoon off to test ride the demo.
Work commitments say this week is out for a demo ride. Next looks shit weather wise. Is this a sign to play it safe?
Last weekend was fine - you changed the oil and went for a fang. The bike knows something as it was faultless and sung sweet music from the Yoshis and even manage to somehow avoid a police car (OK someone else was pulled over ...).
The unexpected money is taking longer than indicated - and a debate over the total value - possibly another sign? negative or possibly positive if it increases (good chance).
More internet hours - aftermarket pipes sorted already!
The Allure continues ...................
Lucky for me I don't purchase very often (last time in 2007 was much easier!).
