Pete just take a moment and let it percolate along with your coffee, That Rainey had 250GP bike experience in Europe in 1984 so take him off your list.
Also that while it might not be exactly the same as a 1980 rg500 A H1r is like 500gp because it was one.

I don't have a wee book or think you would make it into it Pete I can just remember how adamant you were that Glenn Williams did not race one I think at the time you said something about him being fried by then and overseas.

Yeah, they've become a bit too sound-alike now.. all 4s & even the inlines sound like a V4..

Best sounding 4T Moto GP bike was the Aprilia Cube triple IMO.. I was impressed to 'feel' it howl by at P.Is..

    .
So fucking what the pair of ya?

Aaron Slight no doubt raced a 2 stroke dirt bike as a kid (as did, no doubt nearly every good road racer ever), and raced 250 proddie. But what do you remember him for? World Super Bikes perhaps? If he'd made it to the 500's...what was his backround? 250 proddie? Super bikes eh?

So Wayne Rainey and the others I mentioned were made famous racing what? So to say (and forget what you want to call the class...world supers, ama superbike...whatever the fuck) that not many super bike racers made it big in the 500gp class is a load of fucking bollocks. Yes they may've thrown a leg over a gp bike, but they were all basically superbike riders that made the successful switch.

Twist it all you want to make yourselves right...but there ain't too many clips or pics of either Croz or Rainey before their time of the 500's on anything other than four strokes.

Must get myself a wee book....

Funny enough My first memory of Slight was wining the NZ 250 proddy championship on a KR250 what year was that 1984/1985/1986? he must have been blood young.
I never mentioned Aaron other than he did competitive times on a Nsr500 on the few times he was allowed to try one.
It wasn't about what they were famous for it was what there experience was.

Just admit Wayne Rainey raced 2 strokes at GP level in 1984 in Europe and we can just get back to the farty noises and Shane can have his thread back. shit even I am getting bored by this.

Think you'll find it was RZ Yamaha's after his best mate Peter Blackwood was killed racing dirt track in the Wairarapa.

And pretty sure I never said Rainey had never raced two strokes mate (you do know he raced GPZ750's in ama superbike before going to Europe then eh?), only that he was from a super bike back round. But hey...you can win this one too! Put it in ya note book.

It was a KR250 the tandem roadbike. whilst he may have undoubtedly raced an RZ it was not my first memory of him
Come on Pete I put in what you quoted word for word. I don't care if he once rode is great uncle 1939 Rudge Ulster, it doesn't change the fact he did a year on A works 250 Yamaha in 1984 4 years prior to going to 500GP bikes.

I tried finding by google what year it was aaron was riding the Kr250 and came up with this.
Although you wouldn't know it by watching a 250 race now, Kawasaki was once a huge power-house in 250 racing in America and abroad. Future four-time world champion Eddie Lawson won the AMA 250 Grand Prix championship in both 1980 and 1981 on the Kawasaki KR250, a bike tuned for most of that period by Steve Johnson
better take him off your list in ya notebook to Pete.
it should have come as a surprise to you Pete because you posted the next post in the thread

I have no memory of that as I was being born in 1986.

All this is very interesting to read though, I am humbled by your combined memories of who raced what, where and how they arrived there.

Show's what a total dickhead you are then eh. So google is your source of info it seems? Me...it's having been there. That KR250...that Aaron rode...was well after he made his name in racing RZ250's in NZ in 250 prodie...and FZ750's after. It was even after he raced super angel ow01's in Japan. And it wasn't a KR250 knobstain. It was a prototype v twin 250 GP bike with upside down Cylinders and the inlets above. They took it to Daytona and I think Aaron rode it to a top five placing...but it was never seen again. It was once Aaron was contracted to race Kawasaki's. A KR250 tandem twin (you know...the proddie versions, not the early GP 250 and 350 versions)...was my first ever road bike. But fuck me...what would I know eh? Maybe...just maybe...I've even chatted to Aaron about that bike? When he used to call into Boyle Kawasaki to talk to John and Mark Boyle...when he was having the back of his hand rebuilt after fucking it testing a factory ZXR400 in Japan?

So google away fuckhead. Because there's a shitload you know nothing about. Google has made the world a far worse place. Fuck me...even you can think you know all about H1R's and tandem twin Kr's, when it's now blatantly obvious...you know nothing about any of them.

Sleep well cuddled up to your wee book.

think before you post Pete. FFS
I tried to google to find the year what was when Aaron won on the 250 road bike kawaski kr250. What came up the stuff about Lawson. I posted what it said about Lawson you idiot. I even highlighted it for you. I even said that's where I got it from.
    here it is again.
Although you wouldn't know it by watching a 250 race now, Kawasaki was once a huge power-house in 250 racing in America and abroad. You are the one who now starts up all this crap trying to make out i am talking about another bike.
I am talking about 1984-1986 the KR250 road bike. I have made that crystal clear from the start.
When I post a article from 1984 or what ever it was when as I have said Aaron won the NZ production championship I want you to print it out and shove it up ya bloody arse.
So will you admit then you are wrong, I doubt it. Seeing as far as I know google has nothing about him winning the proddy tittle here on a road bike kawaski 250 kr250. So how the fuck would I have got it from google.
lets face it you are wrong already about Rainey and now Lawson.

As for the other stuff about Aaron its all in that thread. Grow up.

Lol. Oh the irony. And speak Engrish.

But let's finish this...you were right...poor old Shane etc can have their Moto GP thread back. Lawson, Rainey, Gardner, KS, Croz, oh...and I forgot...Fast Freddie and the others I may've mentioned)...were all world famous for their gp bike prowess long before they made it big on 500cc gp bikes.

And post away numbnuts. Because the only NZ title Aaron won on 250 proddies...was on Rz's. So part your butt cheeks and enjoy it. And I love how you edit shit once I've posted something else. Part your cheeks motherfucker

I will post the road test on the KR250 Road Bike 250 when I find it seeing as you had one you will enjoy it regardless or the slight discomfort of your butt cheeks will face.
Only thing I ask is you post no photos of said butt cheeks with article inserted, I will take your word on their insertion progression.
I only edit spelling and grammar. I have pretty bad grammar that's for sure. I do note you have edited my reply to you though.
You have not included the stuff where about where got it so wrong about what I posted about Lawson where you had gone off on a tangent claiming I was talking about another bike Aaron rode much later, when I was clearly not.

Bollocks again. And yeah...can't wait for you to show me when Aaron won a NZ250 proddie title on a KR250. My boss (Mark Boyle) and friend (Barry Baxter) that raced against Aaron (Yamaha RZ250 from Gregory Yamaha) will be keen to see that as well. Might help them get over it. They thought it might've been because they were on different bikes!
