What a pain in the arse that was. Changed the calliper to sort out the lines in the end, I don't have any tapered fittings for doing it the other way.

Is it a JFZ caliper? I'd be inclined to drill & tap it to take a 8mm banjo bolt, although that would mean it would need a machined surface for the washer to seal on.

before you pick up an 8mm tap check the threads on the fitting, they have finer threads than normal so it'll probably mean getting a set of taps including bottoming tap of the correct thread size

That's why I used the other calliper chaps. It's already tapped on both sides, so we're all sorted. No need for machined surface as I've got a tapered thread elbow fitting jammed in one side and a plug on the other.

So as long as the chain doesn't foul on the plugged side, Robert's ya mother's brother.
