1999 DR350 single looking for love

The last year manufactured of one of the best little 'adv' bikes you'll ever own.

    1999 Suzuki DR350SEX, giggidy.

Stock tank and long range tank (250ks). I never pay attention to how much I put it but it was assumed to be 15L when I bought it.
Risers, bark busters, bag racks, bags for racks etc etc.
Grippa seat cover and slightly plusher filled seat than the stock one.
The bars are swept back a bit, which makes highway hours a breeze on your arms
Two extra wee LED's mounted by indicators. Not wired in at the moment but easily done.
Second set of rims with an 'all terrain' style rear (some sort of Kenda, I haven't used it yet) and either an MT21 or a Scorpion front. MT21 is the only front tyre you'll ever need on bikes like these though
Has a MX version rear guard with an LED unit tucked into it. Was running LED's only at one stage with the intention to throw heated grips at it.
Fresh WOF, rego till start of Dec at the mo

Won't be pictured but have near new side covers.
    Flat slide carb model
Will be sold with the stock square headlight
Comes with stock tank, extra set of rims, smaller front sprocket (you can swap them very easily on these on the side of the track if you're not lazy like me) and some other bits and pieces like spare wheel bearings, brake pads etc.
I've been pretty easy on her so I've only had to replace the stator from memory.

For those not in the know, the 98, 99 models have better suspension and auto de-comp amongst a few other updates and the 99 was the last year of production. Kick start only, but it's easy as fawk (I've done it by hand just to see if I could) and starts first kick 9 times out of 10. You also only need 1m or so of room to crash start it when you're lazy and on a hill

Cool wee bike. Will cruise at 100, is easy to pick up and great offroad with its perfect amount of torque.

Can come with an almost complete 98 DR 350 for a few hundred extra (it has a crook head but flat slide carb, exhaust, airbox, rims etc could be handy.) Also have an over sized barrel and piston that popped up cheap locally so nabbed it.

Need to take some better pictures sorry.

Because I'm lazy, this is the thread I bought it from which also has a few pics. Note those are the old side covers. New ones are plain white and are yet to be set on fire, but I'm working on that:

Has this bike won any KB POTW?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

haha, I forgot about that! Should add a premium of 2 chocolate fish to the price for the prestige you reckon?

We do the same, it just so happens that most Sourth Island lawns have a river running through them

I am negotiable on price too btw. Can pull the luggage racks off and have it come without some of the spares to get it even lower too, but why would you, it's good to roll for weekends away over summer as is.

Updated. Put another 2000kms on it last month but should stay at 26k from now.

$3,400 was with the other DR parts bike, $3,100 without.

Keen to move this on so open to offers. Remember that even without the parts bike it still comes with a decent amount of extras, if wanted

One of the side covers is a bit lunched (the melted one pictured above), the speedo unit (pickup bit) is brunched, and the head was not wined or dined with oil so is a little dinnered (could slam in some brass sleeves, but wouldn't be worth paying someone to do it imo).

I think that's about it from memory.

CDI, stator, zaust, chain that was near new, headlight, tank etc etc etc all there. Engine is disassembled.

Pretty sure I have a set of sidecovers in my collection of bits. I used to have a spare head too but sold it along with my first DR.. crazy how many people run them low and lunch the heads. How much would you want for it?

Hope you got good coin for the head. They are getting harder to source now. They pop up on Ebay every now and again for a fair price but you have to be on the ball with checking often.

Yeah oil in frame is a bit of a bitch to check properly I guess. I run near 2L in my other one just to be safe. Could probably get 2.5L in there before you have to start worrying about seals, but not willing to test that personally

As close to $500 as I can get. Has MX tyres with good tread (near new from memory) that it can come with or without as I will def use em if not wanted. If you were wanting to part it out I know someone who would nab the rear wheel before it left Picton and there is a guy in Blenheim who was trying to get the carb off me (it's a flat slide, they're usually a few hundred alone as you'll know) I can put you in touch with.
