Have I get this right? Now that this thread has been moved to Rant and Rave, all those threads that whinge and moan about bike shops will appear here too?

A good idea that needs some refinement - I like the idea of Anonymous reviews for better service - but tis scary to think that I could place spurious reviews for services a world away without any hinderance

It's been a shit idea from day one mate, primarily with concerns over cyber bullying actually.

And I mean you can't review a person anonymously, that's even stupider than being able to review a person to begin with.

It's not cyber bullying, it's people rallying around a chum that's looked after them & bagging an asshat for being a tool. It's how life works.

Again, that sounds like cyber bullying (albeit righteously). To put it another way, how would you describe cyber bullying?

I don't think you are getting the point, there is a distinction between act, and motivation/righteousness. I've been quite clear in my post that I think the cyber bullying of the aformentioned tool is righteous and I have no desire to back him, but I'm not self righteous enough to think that it's not bullying just cos I think I'm right

I trust your position on this comes from owning a automotive repair business that's been treated this way on occasions for more than the last 25 years. Mine does.

    Le sigh,

Its got nothing to do with what business one is in - it is purely about calling the act exactly what it is - regardless of motivation, justification etc.

So what your saying is when crimewatch or police 10/7, or even the newspaper publish names to seek feedback or to inform the public on people they are interested in, its "cyber" bullying?

I can't see an issue with a bit of "naming and shaming" in this situation. Even our local $2 shop has pics of shoplifters in their front window...

My position comes from knowing what the term actually means, fuck your self righteous automotive repair business background.

    These blokes below get it.

Mind you, a paper, and perhaps even the telly, probably isn't fulfilling the cyber bit of it.
