    Christmas/Festive Season. PC Crap.

Could the Mods please censor any upcoming threads that mention the word Christmas. Apparently it might offend some migrants as they could feel left out, dejected, not wanted etc Festive and 'Happy Holidays' are okay according to whatsaname, you know? Susan Devoid, the crusader for human rights and equality.

Rudman gives his take on it here. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=11550665

What I'd like to know is, how can you feel excluded from someone else's religious activities, if you were never part of that religion to start with.

Every year we have to hear this bullshit. Not the contents of the article, but the people, like awa355, who feel the need to go on their silly little rampage about it. This editorial is written specifically to bait people like you who are evidently incapable of independent thought. Does anyone really believe this issue is widespread, prevalent or common in any way? No, it's some tiny little insignificant fringe of a fringe, getting upset over nothing. And yet somehow it has to become national news, and we are all supposed to get outraged over a complete non-issue. Move on with your life, stop being such a busy-body.

I'm sure they will let you join - it's not as if they deliberately exclude you - do you want someone to come around and see you about their religion and becoming a member???

Hey Gayboy, this is the "Rant and Rave" part of the forum, awa355 can post what he likes. If you don't like it then don't bloody read it. You post so much shit and waffle yourself that perhaps you should take advice from your own post.

Recently there has been a distinct lack of presence from the IRD enforcement arm.

Prediction: A December blitzkreig* upon our roading network.

Hmmmm.. this afternoon on the home bike commute got pulled over (as did others in cars) so the LEOs could scrutinize my rego with the Mk I eyeball. Not my WOF, just my rego; the newly-replaced WOF sticker is under the seat after the last thief.

That contributes to safer roads how?*

    (*That was a rhetorical question).

But on the up side, less chance of getting nabbed doing 120 if they are all parked on the roadside writing out $30 tickets

Yeah, right. Popo doesn't receive a cent in fines, but the General Fund does.

Selection was made using Police and road safety sector data."

Great idea! So now motorists have the distraction of having to keep one eye on the speedo and one eye on the road, and now have another distaction... Billboards in high risk crash areas. Bright... VERY BRIGHT!

Christmas existed in this country long before I was born and I don't think any new people should expect to change things to suit them. I don't know their names for festivals etc and I'm not going to complain about them. Live and let live and all enjoy their own. If some good folk want to call it Christmas the rest should stop bitching about it and get on living their own lives. Susan Devoy is totally out of line on this.

What will she do next? Expect us all to change the number of the year we are in and stop referring to things occurring BC or AD?
    Cheers

why would anyone have thought that being good at playing squash, should translate into being good at being a judicious and sensible arbiter of race relations and human rights? Idiocy on stilts. And she proves that repeatedly every time she opens her mouth.

Hadn't seen that and was simply going off of what I'd noticed over the last month.

I do that regularly. Not that I adjust the velocity because of some silly little sign, however.

Funny you should say that... I read somewhere the other day a reference to a long ago date. Can't remember what it was but I seen to remember it may have been CD345 or something similar. I'll see if I can find it.
