all riders were told at last weekend's briefing, " To bring fire E to the next briefing, Or you will be going home! Argue if you want too, but I know I would prefer to put out a fire with mine, rather than watch a mates bike burn weighting for the fire brigade to turn up FFS, Common sense people.

Took me 2 minutes to find....

    For the lazy:

Fire Extinguisher: The provision of a suitable fire extinguisher is required in
each riders pit. A one, 1 kg (minimum weight) sealed and operational fire
extinguisher must be visibly present in each riders pit area.

First paragraph in the document I linked even!

Prior to the start of any event a riders briefing shall be held and is compulsory
    for all riders to attend.

does it say you have to present it at riders briefing?

NO, but the stewards have called for it to be present on a SAFETY Ruling, and the clark of the course can change or add a rule based on Safety all day long if they choose too

My terminology is probally not correct but, it is either the clark or the steward of the course, can change any rule on the day, " If it is based on a safety issue" So YES, it is in the rules some where, it is a rule I have been aware of years and years, which has not been changed/moved/erased!

Rule 6.17, the Fire Extinguisher is even in bold font to help you see it

No Extinguisher, no briefing = no racing.......................but hey its your call. A whole weeks prep, entry fee paid, pit crew committed and you fuck up because you don't have a $20 fire extinguisher and cant be bothered turning up for a listen to a riders briefing......priceless....
