On the right of that picture is a huge section of the building falling outward.

Below that would certainly not have the same mass bearing down on it any more.

Yup, just as I'm telling you the mass was increasing as each floor that failed started it's downward movement, and just as I'm telling you that as the speed increased so must the local acceleration at the failure front.
