Funny. I explained the risks to my wife, in regards to me retiring, yet here we are. I'm sure every man just dove straight on in there without consulting his wife in regards to risk. And as women aren't known for their rational thinking, statistically speaking, they offer nothing in response other than, "That's nice dear.", whilst thinking, "I'll suck the life out of him before letting him have any fun".

Nothing wrong with consulting with someone to discuss Risks - but as a whole Men engage in Riskier behavior, be that Adrenaline Sports, Combat, Motorsport, Business Ventures, Gambling etc.
As for Rational Thinking - something of interest is Chess - probably one of the most egalitarian games, based on rational thinking, Logic, Strategy, Anticipation and intuition. There are 1464 Male and 33 Female Grand Masters. It is not to say that Women can't be good at Chess (Judit Polgar for example) but the massive disparity suggests that there is something to do with Gender as to why more Males are good at Chess when compared to Females.

I can't speak for American women, or indeed about women in NZ as a whole but something I have observed, a lot of (most that I know the details of ) women who own 1 or more businesses do so either from behind genderless companies / trusts or in their husbands, fathers and or sons names.
Even when all investment, intellectual property and the general running of the show is them.
For some it is sexism based in that they perceive they will get a better deal from banks, suppliers and customers if the perception is they are just the face of the enterprise.
There are other reasons around survivorship, tax, commitment etc.

Some of you are confusing lack of interest with inability to. So what your saying is if women were more in control we would have less wars (they don't like to physically fight), and fewer "big" companies as they aren't so power crazy. Sounds like a win win for the stupid world thread?
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
