So, finally get into the settings menu on the Tuono. Ya can't turn the anti wheelie off all together. WHAT THE FUCK? I set it to the minimum and off I went. It's fucken sketchy I tell ya! Dip of the clutch with enough throttle and it will come up high enough that when the ECU shuts the taps, it'll maintain a good wheelie. But when I say 'high enough', I mean 'have your right foot hovering on the rear brake pedal'. You've gotta get it past the balance point long enough for everything to calm down and smooth out.
Later reflection with the owner, we wondered if the traction control wasn't part of the problem. Because I'm stabbing the clutch to hoist, the rear wheel accelerates real quick like.
We then discovered that ya have to put the bike in race mode, to completely turn all that shit off. I'll try that if I ride it again.
Fucken hell. What happened to thumbing the starter, and twisting the fucken throttle to go have fun?
