Nice guess for this mornings race order ! I watched a few laps when I heading out the door, and then on the phone on the way to work. Will go watch the whole race, but Rossi was looking like he was hanging on by the finger tips at times....nice check out by Lorenzo a few laps from the end.
Post # 543 has the answer! All of the people that got their panties in a bunch at Valencia last year forget that Lorenzo wins nearly all of his races this way. Gets in front then simply fucks off never to be headed again. The guy is too good.

His charisma leaves a little to be desired, but man...the guy can hammer out a race.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Interesting race, I enjoyed seeing the different lines the Mitchy brought out.
Seems like everyone is still holding back a little as they are afraid of a front end tuck, going to be a wee while I think before we see them really showing the potential of the tyres, looking good though that they can hold a decent lap time to the end. They certainly let go with almost no warning though, Iannone was barely cranked over when it spat him off, I'd hate to have that over my head while racing.

Whoever predicted Iannone's crash was spot on, Dovi sure put him in his place, shame Dovi didn't convert that into a win though.

Anyone else notice how Marc's bike was popping the front up out of some of the turns and the electronics were chopping it down roughly? Was markedly different to the Ducati who just powered out looking very undramatic. I don't think the Duc's will be quite as dominant in the straights if the Honda engineers can crack the electronics by the end of the season for this reason. Looking good for Ducati so far though.

One of my predictions rang true, Dani Pedrosa launched the shit out of that bike and gained a lot off the line like the good old days on crappier electronics. Remains to be seen if this is a trend but it certainly was one of his best launches in a long time. Shame he couldn't run the pace of the others, lets hope he finds some magic before the next round. Ditto Maverick.

Big lack of Satellite bikes up the front which is a shame after such promising pre season testing, was quite a gap formed early on, I guess the factory teams haven't been sharing all their toys and secrets.

Lol, nice try. Race order at Doha, wasn't an option....!

    The options were....

BUT, 2 doz Beers on it (hienie/Stella/Asahi, Stenie pick your poison!)? Lozenzo wins 2016 championship, I buy? Lozenzo, doesn't, you buy?
Or would you rather do it on.....Best at the end of 2016 on points; Rossi ahead of Lorenzo, you buy, Lorenzo ahead of Rossi, I buy....!

Can't help but think that an Alien would have won on the Ducati. No wonder they're trying to hunt one down. Stoner must have a heart of.... errr... stone to turn them down.

Lol, I did and the option you selected was not on the menu so null result! I'm in this for the long game.....one race doesn't make a championship.

being the generous sort, I'll buy you one beer for that one race.... or the chance to win 2 doz at the end. Your choice! I'm in Wellington On sat pm by the way.

Mate...check my quotation of your post again. You'll see what I decided on! Lorenzo to be ahead of Rossi at the end of the season!

KTM signs Bradley Smith as MotoGP™ factory rider

KTM signs Bradley Smith as MotoGP™ factory rider
Britain's Bradley Smith will join the factory KTM effort in the MotoGP™ World Championship for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
The acquisition of Smith, announced at the opening round of the 2016 MotoGP™ in Qatar, follows the official roll out of the project at Austria’s Red Bull Ring in Spielberg in October 2015.

The first test was conducted four weeks later in Valencia, Spain. Since then, there have been two more rounds of successful tests, also in Spain and the company has appointed Mika Kallio, Alex Hofmann and Randy de Puniet as its official test riders so far.

The brand new KTM RC16 will be officially presented at Austria’s Home Grand Prix in mid August 2016

Stoner is currently testing at Qatar but it has been announced that he will not be replacing Petrucci.
More than once though, a formal announcement from Stoner that something was not happening turned out to be confirmation that it was.

This is the same time of year as when this situation arose with Honda, Stoner has never raced at the next two tracks on the calendar.
It has been stated that Stoner is not "race fit". But he could be by Phillip Island.

He was certainly unbeatable at the Island when he was there.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
