Go to a national round at Teretonga. The current F1 bikes are probably doing around that when they come past the wind shadow of the pit buildings and try to take off to the right...plus the bumps past the start line are known to lift the front.
GSXR1100 on alky with Holden aboard was running into the limiter on our tallest gearing - later timed at a flying 1/4 at over 190mph. Used the full width of the track past the start line doing the first under 1minute laps...brave bastard. And yes, we tried winglets in practise. Not happy in crosswinds so pulled them off for raceday. In 1988.....

Seems to only be in the small area of the central CBD - which is fucked anyway. You'd only go in there if you absolutely had to.

Yeah I did...it was F%&KING EPIC. Best race that I have been to hands down. Definitely need to dig out some picks...been head down bum up with work since unfortunately...don't think that I have even downloaded the pics yet. Probably going to do either Sepang or Philip Island this year.

The X Rays of Petrucci's hand look quite gnarly: two plates and about a dozen little screws. If he re-broke the hand just by riding, what's to say it won't happen again?

I thought it was a great race too. Unbelievable tension and the outcome of the race and the whole championship up in the air to the very end. More overtakes would have been cool but my nails were chewed down to the quick.

Were you also there...or do you mean in general? I swear...i have been to a few events and yet nothing has rivaled the energy that was fizzing around with that race...particularly in the Rossi Fan Club seats. I am a pretty calm and collected guy generally, not given to much by way of outward displays of emotion...but I, along with the rest of the crowd, were losing our shit in a massive way.

One thing always gets me every time that i go to a race...and that's the pure raw sound of the bikes. The TV never does it any justice at all. Those things are just next level.

Hopefully this season will show some racing equally as electric, but hopefully in a more positive way...the ending to the 2015 season generally was a tad marred.

Yep. Is a Dr now and doing orthopedics. Doing very well for herself. Currently in Europe.

Who gives a fuck what Ago/Rossi says regrading Lorenzo's future? It's just Rossi trying to play head games with a guy he's not as fast as, in a desperate attempt to slow him down. Why would Lorenzo change, when he's happy and winning titles with Yamaha? How many times did Doohan change? Was he a pussy as Rossi is insinuating?
