Anyone got any explanation why heroin users get free methadone supplies when cannabis oil is denied for genuine pain sufferers .

its cheap, synthetic and non addictive.
I suspect cannabis oil has to be refined from cannabis, which is "drugs are bad hmkay".
If they admitted there is actually no problem with weed, they would have to let a lot of darkies out of prison. Clearly the old white mentality couldn't handle that.

Because heroin users traditionally used to have to steal a lot to support their habit.
Methadone programmes are seen as a way of weaning the user off the Heroin with less physical side effects and a more user friendly form that lessens the HIV and Hep C risk.
The drug is taken orally in front of the pharmacist so it's less of a risk of being onsold to others.

The programmes are designed, not as a alternative replacement for heroin, the actual goal stop is to the addict using any form of opiate long term. The methadone is a prescription to help the withdrawal symptoms

People might take the use of Cannabis use as a pain relief more serious, if it wasn't predominantly recreational users pushing for its use as pain relief.

Nail.. head... Trouble is, the rec users think the powers that be are completely fooled by their claiming such.

Notable is that the Govt. is actually looking into the medicinal use of Cannabis as a pain reliever if others don't work as effectively. Of course, developed as a pain reliever means it's not going to get the user stoned, hence the stoners wanting the drug legalised in general.

Also notable, is that the stoners won't accept any medical evidence that suggests the drug is less than harmless, much like conspiracy theorists really...
