Oh look, I guess Māori an NZSL are not official languages either... because they are in quotes too.
Māori and New Zealand Sign languages have been formally designated as ‘official languages’ and have special status under the law. People have the right to speak in Maori or New Zealand Sign Language and they can be used in legal proceedings with interpreters. Māori is also taught in most schools and there are Māori immersion educational facilities.
Nope that seems to be the term official language...

We can all speak whatever we want.
But only the three have a right to have services provided in them.

    Curious (and bored),

So if I give someone the fingers as the result of a 'close shave' at an intersection, or shake a closed fist at anyone as I ride past him, does that mean I am simply expressing myself using an official language? Therefore no offence should be taken?

Does sign language have swear words?
