I used to struggle to pay attention to the elderly. Lately though I really enjoy listening to the perspective. My wife's 93 year old grandfather was a mine sweeper for most of the war, which is interesting. But what is amazing is that he witnessed first hand, the industrial revolution. He experienced the shift from horse and cart, to cars and trucks.
I will happily afford anyone over 60 a bit of attitude. They've earned it.
...it's about as good now as the nano-second before I attacked it with the chain...lots of loose skin and meat but I still seem to heal quick...it has nothing to do with healthy living either...the shoulder I knocked around at Methven two years ago is now back at the top of the pain and annoyance list...

Not down here. All over the show around Europe. He started in the Navy as a gunner ( so he's deaf as fuck), then got chucked on a mine sweeper. He did two more trips after the war, before he moved over here.
Could be, dunno that ya get medals for that though
